How much do you love or even know about the gladiator period of Ancient Rome? It’s time to learn a little more as Those About to Die drops on Peacock.

There are different release models across the various streamers. In fact, a lot of streaming platforms don’t even follow the same type of pattern, making it harder to know what to expect and when. So, we need to know how this series is being released before jumping into the first episode.

Those About to Die is a binge-watch on Peacock

There’s great news for those who love a binge-watch. All 10 episodes of Those About to Die are now available to watch on Peacock.

The downside of a binge-watch is that streamers want to see results immediately. They need to know that there is interest in the series before renewing it, and the binge model isn’t the best for that. I prefer a weekly release to help keep shows alive.

What is Those About to Die about?

The series is based on the Daniel P. Mannix book of the same name. It picks up toward the end of the Roman Empire, as the gladiator pits offer some of the only entertainment for the common people. Just how rigged are the games, and what actually goes on behind the scenes? That’s something the series offers a look at.

There is a lot of nudity and violence involved. If you love the likes of early Game of Thrones, this is going to be for you. If you prefer character and story development, I’d turn to other shows out there. However, I do love watching Anthony Hopkins on the screen.

You may be surprised by what you learn about the Roman Games. This is a dark period of history. Could you imagine watching the deaths and gore in real life now just for fun?
