There is some exiting news for The Librarians fans. Not only do we know that a sequel series is coming, but we know when it will arrive. Well, we know that The Librarians: The Next Chapter is set for a fall premiere date.

The CW hasn’t set the exact premiere dates just yet. That’s normal. None of the broadcast networks have set their premiere dates just yet. However, we know The CW shows tend to premiere in October of each year.

Which timeslot did The Librarians: The Next Chapter get?

The series has a coveted time slot for The CW. It will air on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Yes, this goes up against ABC’s popular TGIT lineup, but Thursdays have always been a popular night for the network. It’s been when the likes of The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural have aired.

The series will follow Superman & Lois’s fourth and final season. With so many tuning in for that, there’s hope that they will stick around for the new time travel drama series.

Yes, there is a former Librarians star returning

While The Librarians: The Next Chapter will be headlined by a new set of characters, there will be a returning member on a recurring basis. Get ready to see Christian Kane back as Jacob Stone.

This makes sense. Jacob was left going his own path after the end of the original series. He will still be around to help out with a situation that happens. Stone will come in to help Charlie find her confidence. The Library wants him to be her mentor, which also makes sense considering the character growth he had in the original series. It looks like The Library wants Charlie to become a permanent Guardian.

He is the only confirmed returning cast member so far. If the series is popular, we could see many more. We just need it to be renewed!
