Pick up We Were the Lucky Ones

The first three episodes of We Were the Lucky Ones actually drop on Thursday, March 28. Most of the other episodes of the series will air in April on a weekly basis. It’s another Hulu World War II drama to check out.

The series follows a family of Polish Jews. As the Nazis take over, the family is forced to separate to survive. One sibling is trapped in Paris, while another sibling is on the run. Others are scattered, all in the hope that they won’t end up sent to one of the concentration camps.

They make one promise to each other. They will reunite after World War II.

We Were the Lucky Ones will come to Hulu.

Try out The Ballad of Renegade Nell

If you want something that is a little more upbeat and fun, you’ll want to turn to The Ballad of Renegade Nell. This one is giving The Great vibes, meaning that while it has some historical context to it, it is not fully accurate.

The series follows Nell Jackson, a woman who is accused of murder and is forced to live a life of crime. She goes about it with her two sisters, and she ends up working with Billy Blinds. As she travels through war-torn Europe, she realizes that this may be the path she was always meant to take.

This is certainly more of an upbeat comedic period drama. It has a great cast that includes Louisa Harland, Joely Richardson, and Nick Mohammed.

Check out the series on Disney+ starting on Friday, March 29.
