Renegade Nell is a fun series set during the reign of Queen Anne in 1705. Nell Jackson is a woman who is accused of murder and ends up on the run with her two sisters. However, she didn’t commit the murder, and she needs to find a way to prove that someone else was guilty of the crime.

She ends up with the help of Billy Blind, a magical sprite who gives her the power to fight back. She realizes that she is on the right path for herself, her sisters, and the world.

Renegade Nell Season 2 is unofficially in the works

While Disney+ is yet to renew the series, there is some great news. Director Ben Taylor shared with Radio Times that a second season is in the works. It’s actually currently being written.

Fans should expect a time jump. This is due to the younger actors aging. Rather than recasting, it makes more sense to offer a time jump to allow the characters to remain consistent in terms of looks and actors. I think a lot of viewers will appreciate that, because I do for sure!

The first season was filmed in 2023. The series has only just come out, and now fans are waiting for a renewal. If renewed, production work won’t start until the end of this year at the earliest, so the aging of actors will become a problem. Just look at the problem Stranger Things is having.

What to expect in a second season

There are no clues as to what we can expect when the show returns. The first season ended with Nell making a huge sacrifice. She asked Billy to leave her and go into Thomas to fight the magic that was inside of him. It was an emotional moment, but one that shows Nell is a good person and realizes that Thomas was manipulated.

It changes everything for Nell, who was getting used to being able to fight back through magical abilities. What will she do when she doesn’t have that option?
