When Quantum Leap wasn’t on the list of NBC’s January returning shows, we were disappointed. This is a great time travel series, and an excellent revival capturing the heart of the OG series and bringing something fresh.

The midseason finale was a huge moment. Ben and Hannah met again. This time, they were in 1961, and Ben promised to find Hannah first so that she would never have to wonder if Ben was in someone else’s body each day.

Now our eyes are on the show’s return. There aren’t many episodes left of the season, and we’re excited to see the twists and turns—and to see if Ben will ever get back to his own time.

When will Quantum Leap Season 2 return?

NBC has finally set a return date. We’ll get to see Quantum Leap Season 2, Episode 9 air on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

Not only will the show get a change of night but it will also get a change of time. It’s heading back to the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, which is the one it had during its freshman series. This is a tricky timeslot, but the series isn’t going up against anything major on other networks. CBS and ABC have opted not to air shows just yet, so this could give Quantum Leap a fair chance.

Will Quantum Leap be renewed for Season 3?

Our eyes are now on a renewal. The series is only just behind Found and The Irrational in the live ratings, according to TVLine. This would be a great sign for a renewal, except that we’re now at the point where regular shows can return. While ABC has final seasoned a couple of shows, NBC has not. NBC may want to see how the series performs when it returns to see if it’s worth giving it a third season.

This is an expensive series to produce, especially compared to Found and The Irrational. Time travel shows are always expensive because of costumes and sets. With some hope, the viewership remaining relatively steady compared to the first season, especially in delayed viewing, will push the show through to another season.
