Outlander Season 8 leaked photos potentially give us a look at Amaranthus

There are a few new characters coming into Outlander Season 8, and one of them is Amaranthus Grey. Now it looks like we have our first look of her in some leaked photos.

Just Jared shared some photos from the production of Outlander Season 8. These are likely taken from the last episodes of the season, and there is a clear shot of William stood next to a woman. This is likely Amaranthus, and it tells us a little about the character.

Carla Woodcock will play Amaranthus Grey in Outlander Season 8

Carla Woodcock, who you can currently see in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, is going to play Amaranthus Grey. In the books, she is the wife of Benjamin Grey, and they have a son together. However, Benjamin is presumed dead, and it’s clear that Amaranthus has some feelings for William the more they spend time together.

It’s hard to tell what’s going on in the leaked photos. With some of the photos including Lord John Grey with a beard, it suggests that the storyline is from after some scenes that involves Lord John Grey being taken at the end of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.

By the end of this book, Amaranthus and William share their feelings for each other. Most fans don’t like Amaranthus, knowing that she is up to something. Does she want to get her claws into William and the Grey family as a whole? That’s certainly possible in the book, but it doesn’t mean that’s the way the series will tell the tale. After all, there won’t be enough time in 10 episodes of Outlander Season 8 to tell the full story based on the timing of these leaked photos.

There is something else to take from this photo, though. William’s hair is much redder than it has been so far. He’s sure to find out he is the son of Jamie Fraser very soon.
