Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter offers a plot for John, Hal, and William. Up to this point, they’ve all somewhat been twiddling their thumbs with a few small family storylines. It was like they’d forgotten all about Denny and Dottie! It’s only been the letter that’s given them something to do.

I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing. My heart does break for Dottie and Denny, though.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I doubt this chapter is going to be used in the TV series. We know that Dottie was going to be included in Outlander Season 7, but there ended up not being enough time. It’s unlikely that there will be time in the final season.

I have a feeling that there won’t be much time to have John and Hal’s storylines, either. I’m in two minds about whether Hal will be brought back into the story at all. He’s not needed all that much. The bits with Claire treating his asthma could be completely avoided in the second half of Outlander Season 7. John hasn’t been used in the show as much as he is in the books, and I can’t see that changing for the final season.

So, I suspect that everything here will be skipped over due to a lack of time and the fact that the chapter isn’t all that important to the overall storyline for Claire and Jamie.

There’s just too much to wrap up in the final season. It doesn’t make sense to bring this storyline in.
