Bobby Higgins proposes in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 154

Outlander Book 9, Chapter 154 is all about Bobby and Silvia. This is a chance to wrap things up for them.

Jamie needs Claire to be a witness, but to what? A wedding? Well, possibly. It turns out that there is a bit of an argument going on. Silvia and Bobby can’t agree on whose situation is worse: the prostitution or being a convicted murderer.

This seems so light compared to so much else that is going on right now. This sort of drama is a little easier to handle, especially for the Frasers. In fact, I bet they are happy that this is happening. It’s clear that Bobby and Silvia like each other.

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow anything, though. I think it’s more about tying up a couple of loose ends from this book. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

It’s not a chapter that I expect we’ll see in the TV series. We haven’t met Bobby yet, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be joined up with Amy McCallum. That’s not all that surprising as until their characters become essential to Claire and Jamie’s storyline, they don’t really need to be included. And I just don’t see that happening in the series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section, though.

Let’s dive into the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter.
