Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 153 breakdown
Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
As we get to the end of the book, we usually see a lot of plot points wrapped up. In Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, it’s more about pushing plots into the next book. We’re getting to see that while the war is starting to focus more in the north, there are still issues in the south. Fergus and Marsali’s storyline may be a little larger in the last book as they continue to get the Word of Freedom out.
I think there is also some foreshadowing of Germain and Fanny. Germain is clearly sweet on Fanny. Could we see something happen between them in the next book?
Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter
I don’t think we’ll see this chapter used in the TV series. It doesn’t look like there is time to bring Fergus and Marsali back into the story. That doesn’t make a lot of sense considering everything that happens with Henri-Christian, though. This has a huge knock-on effect for Germain and the Frasers. Of course, if there isn’t enough time to really show that with so much else going on, it makes sense to not include it and have Fergus’s family off-screen instead of trying to force things in.
I’m intrigued by how Outlander Season 7B plays out. Once I get a sense of that, I’ll be able to form more thoughts about the rest of the storyline and whether the kids could be in Outlander Season 8.
