Claire and Jamie get surprise visitors in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 153

We head back to Fraser’s Ridge in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 153. Claire and Jamie get some surprise visitors.

It’s clear that these chapters are now about wrapping things up with this book and getting things ready for the next book. There isn’t going to be anything neatly wrapped, though. These chapters are all about pushing us into the next set of storylines.

Those who expected William to arrive at Fraser’s Ridge right away may be surprised to see that it isn’t him. John Quincy Myers turns up with some younger members of the Fraser family. Germain and his sisters arrive. That means trouble in Wilmington.

It’s clear that this chapter is setting up some plots for the next book. Fergus has stayed behind to do his duty and Marsali stayed with him with the twins because of her duty as a wife. However, trouble is sure to brew. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I don’t suspect we’ll see this chapter used in the TV series, though. Fergus and Marsali haven’t been in Outlander Season 7 so far, and it doesn’t sound like they’ll be in it at all. I’ll get to my thoughts on the matter in the adaptation section, though.

Let’s dive into the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter.
