Everyone is back home in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 149

It’s time to find out what’s going on with everyone else in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 149. This chapter does catch us up with Jenny.

Everyone is back at the Ridge. I do think that it’s a little anticlimactic after everything that happened. Saving Jamie seemed just a little too easy for it to take over just a couple of chapters. I would have loved to see a bit more in the fight to keep him alive, maybe seeing how everyone moved him to the farmhouse and then the trip back to the Ridge.

However, here we are. There is still some work to be done. There’s zero mention of Jamie’s chest wound. In fact, the only mention is the fractured knee cap, which requires screws from Jenny’s watch to fix. It does seem a little lacking to me.

The main focus is on Jenny after Claire has tended to Jamie’s knee. She shares that she has grown emotionally attached to Sachem.

This chapter seems to foreshadow a few things for the next book. It’s hard to say though since we don’t have that book. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I’m not too certain that all of this chapter will be used in the TV series, though. I’ll get to my thoughts in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter.
