Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 148 breakdown
Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
This chapter is more about being in the moment. It’s focused on helping Jamie and making sure he survives. It’s focused on the immediate aftermath of the battle. There is no talk of what happened, and really, nobody focuses on what is to come next. Young Ian is just thinking immediately to keep Jamie safe and comfortable for the most part.
I feel like this chapter is more about wrapping up everything that has happened. Then the focus can be on what’s to come next.
Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter
Some of this chapter can’t be used. I can’t see the series showing us Claire staying by Jamie’s side the whole time. What I do expect is a small mention of it. I also expect to see the fight to keep Jamie alive. That fight is still not over.
There will also likely be a quick mention of what to do next. Young Ian and Roger need to get Claire and Jamie away from the top of the mountain. That’s the best way to keep Jamie alive and make sure everyone is healed enough to travel. We need to see that play out on the screen.
