Just the Outlander chapter

It has been 24 hours since the battle. Claire, Young Ian, and Roger remain with Jamie. They continue to help stop the bleeding and save his life. Roger confirms that Jamie is alive.

Young Ian wants to be able to move Jamie to a farmhouse that Roger spotted. Is it safe to move him? Claire notes that everyone is burying their dead and is relieved that she doesn’t have to bury Jamie. When she tells him that he’s not dead, he replies “not…yet.”

They two are ready to go home, though. It looks like the aim is to get Jamie to the farmhouse, where they can rest until Jamie is ready to travel. How long will that take? That isn’t clear just yet. For now, it just looks like Jamie is out of the woods.

There is absolutely no discussion of anything that has just happened. Right now, everyone is in the moment of relief and exhaustion.

I do love that Claire is able to stay with Jamie to ensure he survives. Roger and Ian are able to get Claire drinks to make sure she is able to keep working. They also help to ensure nobody comes to attempt to take Jamie as she works.
