Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I don’t see that much foreshadowing in this chapter. Instead, the foreshadowing in previous chapters has all been leading up to this. We’re getting to see Claire able to use magic to be able to heal Jamie.

This is all about plot development. It’s all about Claire defeating the odds. Jamie gets a chance to cheat death once more, and this time, it’s through magic rather than through medical care.

If there is foreshadowing, it could be in Roger’s actions. Is it possible that more time travelers can help to push the abilities further?

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I do expect to see this chapter used in the TV series. After all, this is a huge moment for both Claire and Jamie. We get that moment of Jamie potentially dying. In fact, technically he does die in this moment. Frank’s book is right.

It’s Claire who is able to bring him back. We see Claire use her magic to be able to bring Jamie back from the dead. She finally fully taps into her healing abilities. This is something that has been hinted at in the TV series already, so it makes sense to include it by the end.
