Claire fights to save Jamie in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 147

It looks like everything Frank says will happen is going to happen in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 147. However, Claire refuses to allow it.

Claire gets to Jamie, and it looks like he is willing to accept his fate. Young Ian is even sure that his uncle is dead, and he wants to get Claire to safety. However, Claire refuses to allow all this to happen. She works against the odds to save the man that she loves.

Will she be able to save him, though? We don’t get any answers by the end of this chapter. However, we have a lot of hope. Claire’s words don’t make a lot of sense to Roger and Ian, but they do make a lot of sense for us.

I think this whole chapter is about Claire coming into her powers. We’ve seen hints of this happening in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, and here we are when it really matters. And I think we have a hint that other time travelers can help. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

As for using the chapter in the series, I’m sure that we’ll see it. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter.
