Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter is so focused on the battle, that there isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing. I guess really the only bit of foreshadowing is seeing how the battle plays out is similar to the way Frank describes. That means that Jamie is going to die.

Of course, Claire hasn’t left. I guess the foreshadowing here is that she will be around to save Jamie.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

The chapter is sure to be used in the TV series. This is one of those battles that needs to be shown for a few reasons. The first is that it’s a major battle from the Revolutionary War. The biggest battles have bene shown in the Outlander TV series, so I suspect that we’ll see more of it here.

Then there’s the fact that this is a major moment for both Claire and Jamie. For Jamie, we see his death happen. For Claire, we see her come into her powers. These are things that have been foreshadowed so much throughout the series, so we need to see it all happen on the screen.
