Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows what’s to come. There is a little hint of it in the idea that Frank would lie. We know that as a historian he can’t lie. That doesn’t mean he can’t get something wrong.

For one, it could be a different James Fraser. However, we know what actually happens. I feel like this foreshadows that Frank does get the death right, but he doesn’t realize what Claire is able to do. After all, why would he? Claire didn’t know that she would have healing abilities until she went back to Jamie. There was no need for Frank to ever consider that.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

This is a chapter that I expect to see in the TV series. However, I don’t see Jamie just writing and us hearing his thoughts. I’m sure that this is going to be a conversation with someone. It could be with Claire as they discuss whether Frank would lie and why he wouldn’t be able to as a historian. It could also be with Roger, considering Jamie and Roger also have a similar conversation.

All I get a sense of is that this chapter will be included. I feel like it needs to be. We need to see that while Jamie doesn’t like Frank, he takes his words seriously. There is a real risk that Jamie will die at Kings Mountain.
