Richardson explains what he wants in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 138
Since meeting Richardson in An Echo in the Bone, it was clear that he was up to something. We finally find out what that is in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 138.
He doesn’t have too much to lose when it comes to telling Lord John Grey his plan. After all, it’s almost like Richardson knows that John will die. Either that, or he thinks nobody is going to believe John anyway should he tell someone the truth.
Richardson is a time traveler. We find out why he has come to the 18th century, and why he keeps switching sides. This is a man playing the long game.
There is a lot of plot development in this chapter. It doesn’t foreshadow anything to come, though. However, we do find out what Hal is likely doing and who Richardson is.
Will the chapter be used in the TV series? I certainly expect it will. This is one of those chapters that I could see play out in full, and it won’t take up too much time. We need it when it comes to Richardson’s backstory and plan.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter 138.
