William goes on the hunt for the Greys in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 137

William needs to find out what happened to his father and uncle in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 137. It’s not an easy mystery to solve.

We know what happened to Lord John Grey, but nobody else does. It looks like John even took the letter he received, which means no clues as to where he could be.

So, William decides to go in search for the man who he does know the location of. Hal Grey. Only, Hal turns out to be no longer where he was meant to be. Poor William is traveling all over the country. Can people just go and stay where they’re supposed to?

This chapter certainly seems to foreshadow something in Amaranthus again. Or maybe it’s just a bit of her character development. She seems to see the darker side to people once more, and I’m intrigued by this. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I think the chapter will partly be used in the TV series, but not completely. I just don’t see Hal being included in the story all that much. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter 137.
