Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter definitely sets up the plot for the big cliffhanger ending in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. John is missing. No, he hasn’t just gone somewhere. Or if he has, he hasn’t told anyone, but that doesn’t make sense. Even if he was trying to travel in secret, he would have let Mrs. Crabb know that he was leaving.

It’s clear that something much bigger is going on. William may not want anything from his biological father, but he will need to turn to the man. After all, when it comes to finding and saving John, Jamie will help.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

This is a chapter that I think we’ll see in the series. I expect to see all of Amaranthus’s story play out in the series. I also expect this storyline to keep going as it’s so important for the overall plot. While Lord John Grey isn’t seen as much in the show as he is in the books, this is just too big of a storyline to skip over.

It all leads to William turning to Jamie for help. I could see this playing out toward the end of Outlander Season 8. This could help to wrap up the whole series, especially if it is as I vaguely remember and connected to Captain Richardson.
