Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with the two on their way back to Savannah. This is where William is able to share more about himself with her.

The first is about the uniform. He is traveling in his British Army uniform, which is a surprise to Amaranthus. The last she heard, he had resigned. Well, William shares that Hal suggested that he travel in uniform as a disguise.

Wouldn’t being an earl allow him to travel freely? That’s when William shares more. He makes it clear that he is no longer an earl. Well, he won’t be once he officially gives up that title. Will that stop Amaranthus marrying him? She shares that it’s not about the title. However, can we really believe that?

William goes further into sharing more about himself. He tells her that he is the son of Jamie Fraser. He doesn’t want anything from his biological father, though. He shares that he has land in Virginia due to his Aunt Isabel, who became his stepmother. Amaranthus is surprised to hear that Lord John Grey married twice. Why would she be surprised by that news? That doesn’t make a lot of sense, unless she knows something about Lord John Grey.

The chapter ends with William and Amaranthus getting back to Savannah. Hal is in Charles Town and John has been missing for the last two days.
