Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with William’s letter. In it, he tells Bree about Captain Richardson. I did miss something in the previous chapter about Richardson still being on the American side. William points out to Bree that the man was on the British side first.

William has included a sketch of the man. The lopsided ears are all that really stand out, and they stand out for Bree too. She starts to think how the ears could be like that, and all she can think of is bad plastic surgery. That makes her think of a man from her own time period.

She goes to see Roger, who is by the stream writing his next sermon. Bree shows him the drawing and asks him to think of a man with sandy hair and a bad sunburn. Bree is describing the architect, Mike Callahan. Bree realizes that he was one of the men who attacked after Roger went through the stones.

Roger isn’t too certain about it at first. Bree thinks that Rob Cameron sent Mike back through the stones to follow Bree and Roger. I have a problem with this, though. Didn’t William and Claire already meet Richardson while Bree and Roger were in the 1970s and 1980s? I don’t think the timelines add up, but Bree won’t know this without talking to Claire first.
