William sees John Cinnamon off in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 124

We get another short chapter in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. It’s time for William to say goodbye to John Cinnamon in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 124.

There has been some time passed since the last we saw William and John Cinnamon. After all, the last we read, Cinnamon looked at the painting and it was being arranged to be shipped to London. Well, there’s been enough time for the painting to get there and for Cinnamon to receive a response.

This tracks with how long it would have taken Bree and Roger to get from Savannah to the Ridge. I love how we get these passes of time, making it clear that nothing big has happened with Amaranthus since William told the truth about Ben’s whereabouts.

There isn’t that much in the way of foreshadowing in this chapter. At least, not immediately foreshadowing. I’ll get to my full thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section of the post.

I don’t see this chapter being used in the TV series. There just isn’t the time for it, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 124.
