Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 116 breakdown
Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
This chapter doesn’t really foreshadow all that much. We’re getting some closure for Silvia, who has had a difficult time up to this point. There’s a sense of relief for her as she and her daughters have a home.
The real foreshadowing is really in how the Murrays returning offer some security and safety to the Frasers. With more family around, Jamie has more people he can trust and lean on. It foreshadows more of the good news coming to the Frasers.
Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter
It’s hard to say if the show will spend time developing this chapter. I can’t see the Hardman storyline being used. If it is, it’s only going to be in one chapter, I think. However, there is so much going on that I can’t see the time being used on Silvia’s storyline. It doesn’t offer too much in the grand scheme of things.
We will probably see the Murrays on their journey north though. This means a reunion as Jamie is recovering from the skirmish the night before. We need to see how the Frasers are vulnerable when they’re alone and feel better when they have the Murrays and MacKenzies back.
