Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter wraps up some plot and continues other parts of the plot. The Murrays coming back foreshadows that others are coming back. It won’t be long until there is a full Ridge again. I get a sense that the comment about cabins being available for Silvia is a hint that cabins will be taken over by Fergus and Marsali, too.

Then there’s the foreshadowing of Jamie being worried about Claire. He’s going to feel guilty for sending Claire out with Esterhazy. It’s not like he was supposed to know this would turn out. Jamie was sound of mind when he initially thought of sending Claire out. But that won’t stop him from feeling guilty.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

The chapter may partly be developed. I have a feeling that we’ll see Claire deal with Esterhazy and Bembridge, and we’ll probably see some of Jamie’s men help her. I also suspect that we’ll see the Murrays return. I actually wonder if Ian will step in to help Claire.

The bit that I don’t think we’ll see is the Hardman women being part of the chapter. The rest of it I could see playing out in Outlander Season 8. I could see the Murrays heading north to help Emily and that being how Oggy gets his actual name. I just don’t see the Hardman story being necessary. It doesn’t take too much away from the overall story.
