Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

We’re getting a lot more drama. This just reminds us that there were plenty of scandals in the past. A lot of them were covered up, and this one could have been covered up had it not been for the fight that night and the mudslide.

I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing, though. It’s more about creating drama. Honestly, I don’t really see the point of it. There’s already drama enough with the fight that night.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I do see this chapter being used in the TV series. I’m not sure we’ll meet Agnes Cloudtree, but I do suspect that we’ll see this chapter as a whole play out. It’s easy to keep the general storyline in without including all the characters on the screen. Just a mention of Agnes will be enough for us to understand it all. There have been plenty of times that characters have been mentioned and not seen.

The main reason I expect this chapter to be used is the danger that it puts Claire in. We know the show loves to put Claire in danger and have her rescued by someone. This is sure to be used for that reason.
