Jamie learns about Cunningham's plan in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 107

We head back to Fraser’s Ridge in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 107. If you thought the story with Captain Cunningham was forgotten, you’d be mistaken.

This chapter brings up Cunningham’s plan. It’s Mr. Cloudtree of all people with the information. As much as Claire doesn’t like the man, she needs to trust him on this. The question is how much people can help.

We knew that Cunningham was up to something. It turns out that he wants to arrest Jamie and deliver him to Ferguson. Of course he does. Isn’t there always someone who wants to deliver Jamie to the authorities for something that he’s done?

Is there a way out of this? Jamie may have an option and Cloudtree is willing to help. The question is whether the Cherokee on Jamie’s side are enough to protect him. After all, some are turning out to be Loyalists.

This chapter certainly develops the Cunningham plot. I don’t think it foreshadows anything, though. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

I do think that we might see this chapter play out. The more I remember how Cunningham’s story develop, the more I think it will be used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter.
