Will hears Ben’s story in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 104

It’s time for William to get the truth from Ben in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 104. It turns out more people knew about Ben than William initially thought.

The chapter opens with William making it clear that he is to take Dottie back to Hal. It doesn’t look like she wants to leave. After all, she can’t since that means she would have to leave Denny. She isn’t going to leave her husband.

There is something more important, though. William needs to hear what happened to Ben. It turns out that Ben has officially switched sides, and his decision to fake his death was to protect Hal the shame of having a son be a traitor. However, there is a member of the family who knew the truth all along. Adam knows everything.

The chapter doesn’t end well for William. He is going to be taken to Washington.

Amaranthus also knows everything. That certainly makes her actions a lot more suspicious. I feel like this is a little bit of foreshadowing, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing chapter.

Will the chapter be used in the TV series? This is certainly possible. At least, I think some of it could be and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 103.
