William and Cinnamon part ways in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 101

William is heading back on the road in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 101. We get to see a friendship growing between William and Cinnamon as they part ways.

The chapter is a very short one. It really just offers a look at the way the friendship between these two men has grown. I think we also get a look at how William can start to change feelings for someone the more he understands a situation.

It’s all about William heading out on the road to find Dottie. Of course, Cinnamon wants to go with him, but he needs to stay behind. His portrait for his biological father is too important, and Bree is going to be around to do it right now.

There is certainly a bit of foreshadowing in this chapter. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section of this post.

I don’t expect to see it being used, though. At least, not in full. I just don’t think we’ll get any of the John Cinnamon part of the story, and I’ll get to my thoughts on why that is in the adaptation section. Of course, it’s nothing you haven’t heard from me before.
