Nicola Coughlan has a PG-cut of Bridgerton: Is this series too steamy for some?

If there’s one thing we’ve come to expect from romance shows on Netflix, it’s that they can be spicy. That certainly seems to be the case for Bridgerton Season 3.

The first two seasons did have nudity and some sex, but not in a graphic way. However, it looks like things may have been amped up for the third season. This isn’t to say that I’d let my children watch this—or that they’d be comfortable with it—but that it’s something that older teenagers are likely to watch without concern.

Nicola Coughlan has shared that it may be too much for her parents, though. She has it in her contract that there will be a PG-cut version for her parents to watch, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Bridgerton Season 3 may ramp up the nudity

There is a chance that the series may have more sex scenes and more nudity. Coughlan shared that her mother was shocked by the naked bottoms in the first season, but got over them quickly. Now it’s become something funny to talk about. However, Coughlan didn’t want to have to share the third season with her parents, especially considering she is the female lead this season.

It turns out that she doesn’t have it in her contract. She shared with the Associate Press that she’ll be fast-forwarding during the scenes.

So, if you have teenagers in the house who aren’t that comfortable watching nudity and sex scenes around you, you may want to skip over Bridgerton at first. Just wait to watch the first four episodes of Season 3 yourself and then determine if it’s something they can sit through. You know what it’s like watching those types of scenes with your parents!
