Is a new episode of Quantum Leap on NBC tonight? (February 27)

Quantum Leap’s latest episode ended with a major cliffhanger. This is more than just Ben ending up in another leap and having us figure out what’s going on.

This time, Addison is in the past too. Not as a hologram, but as another leaper. She was supposed to swap places with Ben, but that’s not what happened. Instead, both of them are now stuck leaping, and the team still has to figure out what happened.

We also have to wonder if there’s another time jump. After all, three years passed for the team between the first two seasons. Is it possible that’s happened again?

There isn’t a new episode of Quantum Leap on tonight

We do have to start with the bad news that there isn’t a new episode of Quantum Leap on tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 27. The previous episode ended with such a major cliffhanger because it was the Season 2 finale. Now we have to wait to see what happens next.

That is if we’ll get to know. NBC is still to renew the show, and the linear ratings aren’t looking too good for the show this time.

When could Quantum Leap return with new episodes?

There is a chance that we won’t get new episodes of the series. NBC will be looking at all its remaining shows to see if there are any renewal options. We would love to see more Quantum Leap. Considering the likes of La Brea and Magnum PI have ended, there could be space in the schedule, even if Quantum Leap moves to the midseason.

The problem is this is an expensive show. It needs to perform well in the linear ratings. We know NBC didn’t give it the best chance with it moving nights midway through the season, but we had hoped to see stronger linear ratings in the fall considering there was a lack of scripted programming.
