Annalise de Marillac
In early Season 2, we also get to meet another French aristocrat, who is clearly someone to avoid at all costs. Annalise de Marillac is a French aristocrat, and while beautiful, she knows it and she flaunts it. She expects to have everyone eating out of the palm of her hand within minutes, and she definitely is not a girl’s girl.
Annalise was someone Jamie was interested in, but not the Jamie we know now. It’s the Jamie from 1739, when he’s just a hormonal teenager. Of course he was going to be interested, and she could tell that he was infatuated and played on that.
Candy...wait, Sandy...
Candy…sorry, Sandy…is one who we would all love to forget was in the series. However, she is important when it comes to Frank’s story as we see him in the middle of an affair. Sandy knows that Frank is married and is willing to be the other woman. That’s enough to make her toxic in my book.
On top of it all, though, she has the nerve to confront Claire at Frank’s memorial. It’s clear she believed Frank loved her and didn’t love Claire, but she could have walked away and said nothing. Not only did she have zero respect for Claire, but she also had zero respect for Brianna, the daughter of the man she supposedly loved. We all know women like that and we know how little respect they end up deserving. Candy deserves nothing.
