Mary & George release schedule: When will new episodes come to Starz?

It’s time for a scandalous period drama on Starz. Mary & George is now available to stream on the app. It will air tonight, Friday, April 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the channel.

The series is loosely based on true events. Mary Villiers did encourage her son to have an affair with King James I of England. This was her way to gain power and influence. However, things took a turn, and there is a chance that George was the man to kill the king.

The series takes us through the events of Mary and George’s rise in influence and their fall. We get a chance, over the course of seven episodes, to see how George won the heart of the king. It’s a steamy series that is certainly not something to watch with kids around.

Now eyes are on when new episodes will arrive. Like all Starz shows, this series is getting a weekly release. That’s despite the binge-watch release that UK viewers were treated to in March 2024.

Starz hasn’t released the full schedule just yet. We know that there is usually a week break in the middle of Starz shows. This can sometimes be the week before the finale or it can be in the middle of the season.

It’s worth noting that Yahoo! doesn’t put a break in their release schedule for the series. It’s not clear if this has come directly from the premium cable network or if it is a hopeful schedule.

April 12: Episode 2, “The Hunt”
April 19: Episode 3, “Not So Much as Love as By Awe”
April 26: Episode 4, “The Wolf and the Lamb”
May 3: Episode 5, “The Golden City”
May 10: Episode 6, “The Queen Is Dead”
May 17: Episode 7, “War”

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the schedule week by week to see what Starz has planned. I’d suggest there will be a week off either at the start of May or in the middle of May.

There are only seven episodes to this limited series. And yes, it is billed as a limited series.
