Take a look at Laoghaire's return in new Outlander Season 7B photos

With Claire and Jamie back in Scotland in Outlander Season 7B, there is someone Jamie needs to see. We knew Nell Hudson was back, and now we get a first look at her return.

With Outlander Season 7B’s premiere just around the corner, Starz is boosting the promotion of the show. There are new episodic images released, and two of them include Laoghaire. The two images are labeled as being from Episode 9 of the season (so the 7B premiere), and we’re sure to see young Joanie at the same time as we know she will return in Outlander Season 7.

Where did we last leave Laoghaire in Outlander?

The images show Jamie and Laoghaire talking, and things aren’t looking great. That’s not surprising with the way the two left things.

Jamie and Laoghaire got married while Claire was in her own time. After all, Jamie didn’t think that he would see Claire again, and Jenny encouraged him to move on. When Claire returned, it was clear there was a huge issue. Jamie had committed bigamy.

Jamie and Laoghaire weren’t even living together at this point. It was clear that Laoghaire didn’t want Jamie in her bed due to trauma from her previous marriages. However, they were legally married when they believed that Claire wouldn’t return. When Claire did return, it led to legal issues for Jamie.

Well, it would have done had it not been for Laoghaire shooting Jamie! However, Jamie ended up agreeing to paying Laoghaire a stipend. To pay that, Young Ian swam out to get the hidden treasure and gold. That led to Young Ian being captured and taken to Jamaica. Jamie and Claire headed off to save him, leading to them ending up in America to start a new life.

What does Laoghaire want in Outlander Season 7B?

We can look at the books for the full storyline, but for now, we’ll keep that storyline separate. Let’s just look at the images released. Laoghaire isn’t happy that Jamie is back, and Jamie isn’t happy with Laoghaire.

This likely comes down to the money that Jamie owes Laoghaire. This hasn’t come up in the show in the way it did in the books, so it’s not clear if he even sent Laoghaire the money he promised. Maybe he’s behind on payments, which is causing a problem for Laoghaire.

There’s also the need to bring those payments to an end. Jamie isn’t staying in Scotland. He was there to honor a promise to Jenny, but he will head back to America. Laoghaire won’t like hearing that!
