As we get ready to read Lord John and the Hellfire Club, we’re looking at who we can expect from the main series to turn up. Of course, fans want more John and Jamie content!
Lord John Grey and Jamie Fraser have a unique bond in the world of fiction. It’s not surprising then that people love to read anything that involves the two of them. The bad news is that we don’t get that in Lord John and the Hellfire Club.
This is the start of a series of books focused on developing John’s character. This novel picks up in 1756. Ardsmuir has closed down and Jamie is now at Helwater. Lord John Grey is out of exile in Scotland and finally back home in London. So, the two characters are too far apart for Jamie to help with a murder mystery.
Which Outlander character is in Lord John and the Hellfire Club?
There is an Outlander character that does pop up in the novel. It’s even one who knows Jamie Fraser. Harry Quarry shows up to help Lord John Grey get used to life in London again.
In fact, this does mean that there is a conversation about Jamie at the start of the short story. After all, the two know the prisoner well, and they both had a respect for him in their own ways. Harry has another reason to bring up Jamie, but I’ll leave you to the story to find out what that is in case you haven’t read it yet.
Harry Quarry does show up in the Lord John Grey series again. There are a few other Outlander characters important to John who pop up in later books as well, including Hal and Hector. When it comes to Jamie, though, from what I remember in the entire series, he is mentioned but never seen in the books.
Get Lord John and the Hand of Devils to get ready for our jump into the world of Lord John Grey.
