A lot went down in House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 1. HBO has released the Weeks Ahead trailer to get us ready for the next seven episodes.

There is a lot to happen off the back of the ending to the House of the Dragon Season 2 premiere. Aegon’s heir is dead. At least, that’s if we can believe that Helaena pointed to the right child. Either way, a child is dead and Aegon is ready to start a war.

Meanwhile, Rhaenyra will hear of what Daemon’s goons for hire did. She isn’t happy with the situation. This has weakened her claim. Her people have orchestrated the murder of a child. Why would people want to follow her after that?

House of the Dragon Season 2 Weeks Ahead trailer hints Harrenhal and more

The key to win the war is the Riverlands. That’s what Aegon’s men believe. That means they need to take over Harrenhal.

Well, it looks like Rhaenyra and Daemon have the same idea. This isn’t surprising considering Daemon did mention in the first episode that he would fly to Harrenhal. Rhaenyra just had to tell him when to go. With everything that’s happened, she’s sending him there, by the looks of things.

We’ll also see Daemon’s twin daughters step up to the fight. That’s not surprising either with the hints that Rhaena is taking over Nettles’s storyline with Sheepstealer. However, I do have to question whether there was a glimpse of Nettles or not in the trailer for the rest of the season.

Take a look at the trailer:

Something that is clear is that the Dance of the Dragons has officially begun. This is going to be a deadly war, with dragons taking over the fights and the armies of men just having to hope they won’t end up on the other side of dragon fire.

The House of the Dragon Season 2 premiere certainly felt tame, but this season is sure to pick up if the trailer is anything to judge.
