House of the Dragon Season 2 release schedule: Take a look at when new episodes will be out?

HBO brought us the great news of the House of the Dragon Season 2 premiere date. From that, we can work out the release schedule.

This release schedule assumes that there will be no weeks off here and there. HBO doesn’t tend to take a week off before big episodes. That tends to be a thing for STARZ, as Outlander fans know.

House of the Dragon Season 2 picks up off the back of the first season. The Targaryen civil war has officially started. This is a war of dragons, which means nobody is safe. You will not want to miss any of the eight episodes of the season.

While HBO has the streaming platform Max, this doesn’t mean that we’ll get a binge-watch release. Even Max doesn’t tend to release a full season as a whole. We’ll get one episode per week.

Here’s a look at the likely schedule:

June 16: Episode 1
June 23: Episode 2
June 30: Episode 3
July 7: Episode 4
July 14: Episode 5
July 21: Episode 6
July 28: Episode 7
August 4: Episode 8

There are only eight episodes to the season. That puts the finale on Sunday, Aug. 8. This is when you’ll be able to binge-watch the entire season.

Now it comes to the release time. The series will air on the HBO channel at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This is the same time that the show will be released on Max. Unlike the STARZ App, the show doesn’t arrive on the streamer ahead of the release on the network.

After this, the episodes will be available to stream freely on Max. You’ll be able to watch it on the app directly, or you can get Max via Amazon Channels.

House of the Dragon Season 2 is certainly arriving earlier than we thought, and we love it! This is a summer to look forward to.
