There are some great fantasy shows out there. Some bring us mythical creatures, while others are focused on magic and spells. There is something for everyone in this genre, whether you want high or low fantasy.

There are a few shows that we’re excited to see return, but there is still a wait on our hands. This is partly because of the strike action during the summer of 2023, but it’s also because of the time it takes to film and produce the shows. After all, these types of shows have a lot of graphics to deal with during post-production.

So, which of our favorite fantasy shows are we waiting for? Here are five that we won’t see in 2024 but should see in 2025.

The Witcher Season 4

There is some controversy over this upcoming season. After all, Henry Cavil has left as Geralt and Liam Hemsworth will take on the role. It’s not all that clear whether Hemsworth is going to be convincing as Geralt, but we’ll have to wait and see.

And wait it is. There is no way that this show will arrive in 2024. It takes far too long to get through the entire production process.

This isn’t out of the ordinary for this series, though. There tends to be two years or so between seasons.
