Outlander Season 7 Episode 8, "Turning Points"
I'm not surprised that from all the episodes in Outlander Season 7, the midseason finale is my favorite and I thought was the best. These episodes are usually action-packed with high-stakes for our characters, and that's exactly what happened. The eighth episode of the season definitely delivered! I know we'd been building to the American Revolution for literal years, but I sort of got tired and bored with all the battle stuff, as mentioned above. I'm happy Jamie and Claire are now away from it, though it feels a bit like it wasn't worth it because they weren't there until the very end of the war. But that's a different story.
That's all behind them and it's the moment we've all been waiting for. Jamie and Claire are officially in Scotland! But the episode is a highlight for other reasons as well. From protective Claire and her tending to Jamie, to Jamie and William finally speaking. Even Jamie talking to his cousin before he passed. It reminded us of Scotland and season 1, and it felt so nostalgic. Plus those sparks sparking between Young Ian and Rachel? I'm so here for it! The biggest cliffhanger and what made the episode heart-racing is of course the aftermath of Rob kidnapping Jemmy. Roger and Buck decide to travel through the stones after them, while Bree and Mandy stay behind. What is going to happen next!?
