Caitriona Balfe teases Jenny's anger in Outlander Season 7B

Don’t expect Claire and Jenny to be on the greatest of terms in Outlander Season 7B. Caitriona Balfe has teased why.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan teased what to expect for the two. Of course, book fans will know more, but those who haven’t read the books will want to take in the teases.

We know that Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian are heading to Lallybroch. They are now in Scotland, and there’s a bittersweet moment coming. Not all family reunions are good ones, especially when it comes to life and death.

Jenny wants Claire to do the impossible in Outlander Season 7B

We’re going to see Jenny, who will be played by Kristin Atherton this season, angry at Claire. Balfe teases that Jenny wants Claire to do something miraculous. It’s something that is beyond Claire’s abilities, but Jenny doesn’t want to believe that.

Hurt people hurt people. It’s a common phrase uttered, and it is going to be important when it comes to this season. We’ll see Jenny in a lot of pain emotionally. The only way she knows how to deal with that pain is to lash out, and Claire is the perfect person for that.

"Both her and Claire have a tendency, especially when they're in pain, to lash out. And this is what we see. Jenny is in a very painful situation and she wants Claire to really do something miraculous, and it's not within Claire's capability. There's a lot of anger there that is maybe misplaced."

There is already some animosity between the two of them. Claire and Jenny didn’t get the opportunity to recover what was starting out as a friendship during Outlander Season 3. Just as Claire returned and the truth started to come out, Claire and Jamie had to head to Jamaica to save Young Ian. They then ended up in America.

So, there is already all of that. Now something else happens that leads to Jenny lashing out at Claire even more.

The time in Scotland certainly brings a heartbreaking storyline. It also starts the rollercoaster ride of emotions throughout Outlander Season 7B. Are you ready?
