Agatha All Along is billed as a miniseries so don't expect a second season
I have no doubt that Agatha All Along is going to be a hit. The teaser trailer for the series is out, and it has many fans of Kathryn Hahn’s character hyped up.
The series is a sequel to WandaVision. At the end of that miniseries, Wanda left Agatha trapped in Westview. It’s clear that Agatha has no idea who she really is, now believing herself to be a detective in the town.
Things are about to change. As she starts to realize that she is Agatha Harkness, she takes steps to put her coven back together and break the spell that Wanda created. It’s time to walk the Witches’ Road.
Agatha All Along is billed as a limited series
When it comes to any show, we look at whether it could be renewed or not. We don’t want to get invested in a series only to have it canceled on us. Well, that’s not something that we have to worry about with Agatha All Along.
Like WandaVision, the series has been billed as a miniseries. That means it is set to only have one season.
Of course, we’ve seen plenty of shows initially billed as a limited series only to end up renewed. Just look at the likes of Big Little Lies and Good Omens. However, Marvel is yet to do something like this. The benefit of Marvel is that characters’ storylines can be told through the movies and other shows set in the universe. We’ve seen that before for other characters.
Wanda’s story continued in the Doctor Strange sequel, while we got to see Ms. Marvel’s story continue in the Captain Marvel sequel. Agatha was introduced in WandaVision and now has her own show. So, while we’re only likely getting one season of Agatha All Along, many of the characters could end up in movies or with their own limited series afterward.
It’s just good to know that this show will have a beginning, middle, and an end. There shouldn’t be a cliffhanger that remains unanswered forever.
