Captain Richardson is going to be a problem in Outlander season 7, it seems. The images for Outlander season 7, episode 11 are out, and he’s gets screentime with Lord John Grey.
Since Captain Richardson came into the series, we’ve seen him do some questionable things. It’s only as you get the full picture that you realize that he’s up to something. He sent William out on a spy mission with no training to deliver letters to known Rebels.
Is it possible that Richardson is a Rebel? Was he trying to get William killed to get him out of the way? Or are these “known Rebels” actually on the side of the Red Coats? It’s hard to tell right now, but Richardson continues to be an issue.
Richardson will see Lord John Grey and Claire again
Outlander season 7, episode 11 isn’t going to be a pleasant episode for everyone. Claire is being forced into a marriage to protect her life. Richardson told John that Claire would be arrested as a spy. He had evidence, such as letters that he saw her mailing. John couldn’t allow that to happen, so he made it clear they would need to marry.
It looks like that will happen in the new episode. Of course, it needs to be public to make sure it sticks, so that means a party after they wed. Everyone who is everyone will be invited, and that includes Captain Richardson.
There are also some images of Claire with William. While he is angry that she’s a Rebel, we know that he also has respect for her and is kind to her in person. This could mean that while he’s initially angry, he’ll realize that John is doing the right thing to protect Claire.
There are also a couple of photos of Claire and Lord John Grey. It’s not clear when these photos take place in the episode. Is it as they talk logistics of marrying?
Mercy and Henry together in Outlander season 7, episode 11
Meanwhile, there is an image that stands out that book fans will love. Mercy and Henry are together, and there’s an image of them holding hands.
Mercy made it clear that she had feelings for Henry throughout the previous episode. However, she believed that she was still married. Now that Claire has told her that her husband died, she is free to love again.
Of course, Henry’s family may not be too happy with his choices. She’s a Black woman, and while she’s a free Black woman, the color of her skin is something that will come up. The Greys are wealthy and have positions of power. Marrying people of color isn’t the “done thing” in the time. On top of that, Mercy is a known Rebel, so that sets up issues for the Greys.
Outlander airs on Fridays on STARZ.
