There are some new episode stills for Outlander: Blood of My Blood. They give us a great insight into the story to come in season 1, episode 5.
This episode is going to take us to Craigh na Dun, as the MacKenzies and Grants head there for the Beltane festival. It’s time to say hello to summer, burning the sins of the past in the needfire. Meanwhile, Julia looks to be stuck at Castle Leathers, but there’s someone in particular we’re excited to meet.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 5 images introduce us to a seer
Katherine O’Donnelly is featured in a few episodes from Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 5. On the STARZ Media site, it says that her character is called Maisri, and we’ve met her before. Yes, this is another connection to Outlander season 2.
We know that Simon Fraser is a superstitious man. He believes in people who have the sight, especially if they have proven themselves to him. In Outlander season 2, episode 8, Claire meets his Seer, Maisri, and it looks like Julia will have a run-in with the younger version of the woman.
Will this be Julia’s downfall? Will Maisri realize that Julia isn’t carrying Simon’s child after all? This is going to be a nervous hour for Julia.
Brian and Ellen get to dance together in the Outlander prequel
Meanwhile, Brian is heading to Beltane. In the promo, we find out that he learns that Julia is pregnant with his sibling, and that’s likely to prevent him from taking her to the Beltane festival so that she can escape. That won’t stop him from going, though, and there is an image of him dancing with Ellen MacKenzie.
She will also dance with Malcolm Grant, of course. After all, she’s there to help continue the setup between the MacKenzies and the Grants, even if she has no intention of following through with it. It looks like Ned has a sense that she’s up to something while at the festival.
There are a few images of Ellen and Jocasta at the festival as well, and I have to say that the casting is so on-point with Jocasta Cameron. There are times that Sadhbh Malin looks like a younger Maria Doyle Kennedy, making me fully believe that this is a younger Jocasta. The only character I’ve struggled to connect with the older versions in Outlander is Murtagh so far.
