Comte St. Germain continues his search for a particular man in The Space Between Section 7. It takes him to a peculiar bar.
The Comte heads to the Court of Miracles. It’s a strange bar, with some strange people. Is asking about Master Raymond safe?
Breaking down The Space Between Section 7
After deliberating which place to go to so that he can find out Master Raymond’s whereabouts, Comte St. Germain decides on the Court of Miracles. This place is filled with an odd bunch of people, something that the Comte observes as he looks around the room.
It’s clear that he has been there before. He recognizes the dwarf who runs the bar. This man is the son of the previous landlord. Both of the men were called Max. Now I know that it was a naming fashion in the past, and it still is today. It’s common to give family names, and one son tends to get the name of the father. However, this is the Court of Miracles, and I couldn’t help but wonder if there was some sort of time travel going on instead.
But back to the Comte. He wants to know if Master Raymond or “The Frog” is still alive. Max is uneasy with this question. He wants to know who is asking, but the Comte will not give his name. He can’t. He is supposed to be dead! Instead, he tells Max that word can be left with Madame Fabienne.
As the Comte leaves, he hears someone say “ribbit.” Is Master Raymond back?
Could this chapter be used in a TV series adaptation?
This is the first Comte section that would be easy enough to develop. It is also important to the story. We see that the Comte is on a hunt for Master Raymond. He knows that Master Raymond will be able to answer a few of his questions.
However, people aren’t happy talking about Master Raymond. It’s clear that this man is a mystery, and there may be a danger to him. It creates more of an intrigue around the entire situation, and we would need that in a TV show. So yes, if The Space Between was ever adapted, I would see this section being used.
