Back in May, Diana Gabaldon revealed the title for Outlander Book 10. With a title like A Blessing for a Warrior, it was only natural that fans would start to worry about what the title would mean for Jamie Fraser. Does it mean that we'll lose him at the end of the book series?
When revealing the title, Gabaldon knew how people would react to the title, and she immediately made it clear not to worry about Jamie Fraser. That doesn't stop us from doing just that, though, right? After all, various creators have told us not to worry about their characters only to end up with "creative decisions" breaking our hearts.

What does the Outlander Book 10 title mean?
Each of the book titles are connected to something in the books. It's not always that clear what it is until you get into the details of the books, but there is a clear connection. A Blessing for a Warrior Going Out is likely connected to Jamie and the current Revolutionary War, but not in the way it initially seems.
The title itself is a blessing for St. Michael, and it is said to any warrior who is about to do something important and potentially dangerous. According to Gabaldon, there are a few people that this blessing could link to, but with how the ninth book ends, we're sure that it's linked to Jamie in some way./
At the end of Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, Lord John Grey has been held captive by Captain Richardson. William has turned to Jamie for help to get John back, and we just know that John is going to get out there and save John. It doesn't matter that the two aren't friends right now. Jamie will do what's right for William, Claire, Brianna, and others.

A Blessing for a Warrior Going Out is going to be the final book
One thing Swooon reiterates about the ending is that this is the final book. Of course, Diana Gabaldon has changed her mind about the end of the series a few times here and there, due to the way she writes. It all depends on when her characters speak to her, and how their storylines play out.
However, A Blessing for a Warrior Going Out is going to be the 10th and final book. That naturally leads to more concerns that Jamie is going to die in the end, but Gabaldon has said in the past that she sees Jamie and Claire alive together.
The problem is, we know that eventually they will both have to die. That's the nature of life, right? There are only two things guaranteed in life, after all! But that doesn't mean we need to see the deaths happen in the books. As long as we find out why Jamie's ghost appeared in 1945, I'll be happy!
