We knew this moment would eventually arrive, and Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 4 images tell us that it’s happening now. We also get a look Julia and Henry in their own time.
The trailer for Outlander: Blood of My Blood told us one thing: Julia would find Ellen and convince Ellen to go to Brian. It looks like this is about to happen. The image (above) tell us that the two will meet in the new episode, but that means Julia has to get out of Castle Leathers somehow.
Brian is with Julia in Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 4
The images help us figure out how Julia is likely to get to Ellen. She is traveling with Brian at some point, and we know that Brian is desperate to talk with Ellen. He’s heard that Ellen is marrying Malcolm Grant, and he needs to know if this is something that she wants. If she wants it, then he will likely do the honorable thing.
However, what we don’t know is how Julia and Brian get away from Castle Leathers. Is Julia accompanying Brian on errands now that she’s sleeping with Simon? Is this the way to gain some trust?

It’s sure not to be easy to get to Ellen, though. We see her with her brothers in two of the images. She’s sure to be plotting a way out of the marriage, but will either of her brothers work with her?

Henry deals with the Grants in Blood of My Blood
Meanwhile, we can see that Henry is on his own mission. The trailer for Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 4 tells us that Henry is out collecting rents, so it makes sense that the images are connected to that.
There’s a bittersweetness to these images, though, as Brian McCardie passed away while filming the show. It’s not clear how far into filming the series was, but it’s possible that we’re onto some of the last scenes with Isaac Grant.

Julia and Henry in their own time
What’s not surprising is that we get more time with Julia and Henry in their own time. I did fear that the show would skip over a lot of their love story by putting them in the past right away. However, we keep flashing back to how they met and got to know each other, and this continues in the new episode.
There’s a scene of Henry by the bed with an umbrella. He’s holding it like a rifle with a look of horror in his eyes. This is sure to be linked to his nightmares of World War I, giving us a look at how Julia helps and comforts him. This is a huge part of their relationship, as for many soldiers in World War I, “shell shock,” as it was known then, affected them. They didn’t know what it was at the time, and I’m sure we’ll get to see that panic as Henry tries to figure out what’s going on with him.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood airs on Fridays on STARZ.
