With the way the last episode of The Couple Next Door ended, there is no doubt that fans are ready for another installment. This is where we have some bad news, though. There isn’t a new episode of The Couple Next Door on STARZ tonight, Friday, Feb. 28.
STARZ can take week breaks in a season. This is usually the case for big shows, and we did expect it to happen with The Couple Next Door. However, that’s not the case here. There is some bad news for those wanting more of the story.
The Couple Next Door season 1 has come to an end
The previous episode was the season 1 finale. That’s the end of the tale with these two couples, and it certainly brought twists and turns that we didn’t expect.
Instead of a new episode of the series on tonight, we’re getting the movie 1992 in the timeslot. The good news is that we can watch all six episodes of The Couple Next Door on the STARZ app at any time.
The Couple Next Door season 2 is happening
In some good news, there will be a second season of this twisty psychological thriller. Channel 4 in the UK quickly renewed the series. The bad news is that Sam Heughan isn’t confirmed as part of the story. This season isn’t going to continue the story of Evie, Pete, Danny, and Becka. We’ll follow a new set of couples, with the only confirmed returning actor (probably not character) being Hugh Dennis.
There isn’t a release date for The Couple Next Door season 2 yet. In fact, it’s not STARZ that has confirmed this second season just yet. The first season was a joint venture between Channel 4 and STARZ, but STARZ wasn’t mentioned in the renewal information for the series.
So, for now, we just have the one season, which is a story within itself. If the second season makes it to STARZ, it’s turning the series into an anthology one.
