Exciting news for K-drama fans! Rakuten Viki will have exclusive access to My Youth outside of Korea. The romance drama between a former child star and his first love will be available to watch on the Viki app at approximately the same time that it airs in South Korea.
This means that fans in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe won't have to wait months to indulge in the newest Korean love story. Viki announced the exciting news in a press release.
What is My Youth about?
My Youth is an original drama by director Lee Sang-yeop and writer Park Si-hyeon. It tells the story of Sunwoo Hae (Song Joong-ki), a novelist and florist who was once a popular child actor.
The experiences of his childhood left him broken, and he has barely been able to regain some peace in his life. Then comes chaos in the form of his first love, Sung Je-yeon (Chun Woo-hee), who is now a leader at her family's entertainment company. Though they have a second chance at romance, they must face the struggles of their pasts first.

When will My Youth premiere?
The new romance series premieres in Korea on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 on JTBC, and while we don't have the specific day, it is said to be set to view on the Viki app in September as well. There are 12 episodes that will air each Friday in Korea, so they should also be available soon after through Rakuten Viki. This is incredible news when K-drama fans often have to wait long periods of time for Korean series to be available elsewhere.
Rakuten Viki is one of the best places to find the greatest quality K-dramas and this deal to have My Youth air exclusively through them will bring the company many more subscribers and viewers. Some of my favorite series are available on Rakuten Viki, including What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? and True Beauty.
My Youth deals with some similar themes as True Beauty, so I am excited to watch it. I'll just have to make sure I have tissues ready, because it sounds like it will be a heart-wrenching romance. And this could mean that fans outside of Korea can look forward to watching more new series at about the same time that they air!
