Meanwhile, Ellen may have accepted her marriage to Malcolm Grant for now, but that’s not the way it will stay. We’re sure to see her figure a way out of this marriage, and maybe the best way is to turn to Dougal. He did promise her to rescind it if he became laird, because he wanted to marry her to Marcus MacRannoch. By joining forces with Colum, will he go against that promise now?
