Fans are worried about Claire thanks to the Outlander Season 7B opening credits

As we get closer to the new season of Outlander, we’re expecting more and more teases. Starz has released the opening credits for Outlander Season 7B, and it means some clips of scenes to come.

The opening credits give us a look at some of the scenes to come, and there is one that has fans worried about Claire. This all comes from the book scenes that we are sure are going to arrive, and they’re not all happy scenes.

Does Claire get shot in Outlander Season 7B?

During the credits, there’s a shot of someone with blood all over their hands. It will have a lot of non-book fans worried about Jamie Fraser. After all, isn’t he usually the one to end up hurt?

Book fans are worried about Claire. We know in the book that Claire is close to death at one point, and it’s something that Jamie has never prepared for. He’s always been of the opinion that he’s going to die first.

Claire isn’t even on the actual battlefield when she does get shot. She’s around the medical tents—although the military surgeon doesn’t allow her to come into the house where soldiers are being treated because he doesn’t believe a woman can do the job. This leads to her getting shot and losing a lot of blood.

This is an important part of the story to get Claire and Jamie back to Fraser’s Ridge. Without this happening, Jamie would continue to fight in the Continental Army. This is the point he resigns from the Army because he chooses to put his wife first.

I would suspect that this scene comes up toward the end of the season. There’s an episode titled “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood,” which certainly suggests that it’s going to be a major moment for Claire and Jamie.

Outlander Season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on Starz.
